About the Mountain![]() This mountain is called Twin Peaks. It stands in the Wasatch Range near Salt Lake City, Utah. I took this picture about one kilometer from my home in Sandy. It’s on the north side of the entrance to Little Cottonwood Canyon, where the Alta and Snowbird ski resorts are located. It rises about six thousand feet (1850 meters) above the valley floor. To me, this mountain and the others nearby symbolize the Buddha Mind. We scurry around like little ants, going about our everyday business, too busy to look up and see the grandeur all around us. It is always present. Dan Bammes
